Introducing Genius Finder Pro® for the NHS and Private Healthcare Organisations

Budgets are under increasing pressure while the number of neurodivergent employees seeking support continues to rise. People leaders recognise the need for effective, scalable solutions to support their people in an inclusive way, that is also efficient and tailored to the unique healthcare role requirements. So Genius Within have collaborated with London NW University Health Care Trust (LNWH) and Birkbeck University on a 12-month programme to research, design, develop and deliver tailored versions of the Genius Finder Pro® platform for blue light, patient facing and clerical staff.

Individuals complete the strengths profiler

Each team member completes the profiler survey in just 10 to 15 minutes. It evaluates workplace skills across 13 areas such as numeracy, self-organisation, creativity and reading concentration.

Workplace Needs Evaluation

Use Genius Finder® as part of Workplace Needs Assessments for more effective and cost-efficient outcomes. Before an assessment it will uncover the strengths and challenge for an individual - meaning support does not need to wait for the assessment to happen. This also means the Genius Finder® recommendations and strategies for that individual, can form part of the assessment conversation itself. Then as a follow-up to the Workplace Needs Assessment, Genius Finder® will guide and structure the personalised recommendations for what the employer and the individual should consider putting into place.

Manager Companion Toolkit

Genius Finder® works well as a key part of a manager's "toolkit". It equips them with the guidance they need to more easily discuss the workplace skills, competencies and development areas for each team member. We know managers can find it hard knowing how to raise a challenge area with a team member. They may see somebody is struggling with a skill like self-organisation or emotional regulation, but they don't know how to start the conversation. So instead, using Genius Finder, they can just talk in a straightforward and evidence-led way about the skills, tasks and behaviours associated with the work.

Workforce Planning

Genius Finder Pro® acts as a powerful, data-led platform for HR, People, Business Operations leads - not just team managers and heads of departments. The individual skills profiles can be analysed at an aggregate view as well. So when deployed for all members of a department or an entire company, Genius Finder Pro® reveals the bigger picture of workforce strengths and challenges. Coaching Companion

Genius Finder® works effectively as a coaching companion. It might be that an employee is having coaching with their manager, an external coach or a peer mentor at work. They can use Genius Finder® with their coach / manager to set goals, to revisit those goals, utilise the skills development strategies, pick what they want to work on and develop from there. It forms a integrated record of what is done in the coaching. Features like Workplace Passport offer further value here. They can also re-take the profiler at any frequency to see what progress is being made.

Genius Within partnered with NHS London North West University Healthcare Trust (NHS LNWH) and the University of London, Birkbeck on a 12-month programme to research, design, develop, and deliver tailored versions of the innovative Genius Finder Pro® platform for blue light, patient facing and clerical staff in the NHS.

The partnership highlights the importance and impact of a proactive intervention to support wellbeing and performance optimisation for employees across the NHS (neurodivergent or neurotypical). Rather than just supporting individuals reactively, the intervention supported the early detection and prevention of challenges at both the individual and organisational level.

By arming individuals with insights and improving performance conversations between managers and employees, you create ‘good practice’ that can prevent difficulties occurring.
